So according to valve, GLaDOS isnt chell's long lost mother, shes the jealous psychotic girlfriend. ... I love it
Also apparently "want you gone" was written as GLaDOS breaking up with chell.
I love this game so much. Its so insane. : D

I've been asked a fair bit about this, and you can find the comment made above in a publication called "the final hours of portal 2" which you can buy for $3 on steam or ipad. 8) Its a very interesting read and has quite a few secrets, like that one. Forgot to mention the comment made above was about a scene that was considered for the game but the plotline was scrapped (it involved having 6 personality cores to help you instead of just wheatley).

Um I don't support this pairing at all but I got to say this would be something glados would do just to chastise and mock Chell(player). I can totally see this happening in the game.

Wow I actually like the GLaDOS-the-girlfriend a lot! That's never occurred to me before, how cool : D
This picture's nice, i like to composition and use of perspective. GLaDOS looks suitably grumpy which is impressive to me because I always struggle with giving robots expressions! :'D I think some extra time spent on the dinner would have paid off as the glasses look a bit wonky and rushed, but overall this is a great piece.

I wonder if more would've been made of the relationship between Chell and Wheatley if GLaDOS was a jealous girlfriend? Maybe Wheatley would've tried to flirt or something. :'D That would be hilarious to watch.

hmm actually it could have been two, one was going to have a morgan freeman type voice and be the wise sphere that was locked up and has never been outside a little room, the other was based on a character from jaws that was sort of hunting glados, like she's his white whale.

hmm, i cant really remember any significant ones at the moment. ... apart from the fact that there were to be 6 personality spheres helping you, not just wheatley, one was an old wise sphere and another was based on the guy from jaws and glados was his 'white whale'.
