Description -- Kelly, Kentucky, USA --
-- August 21, 1955 --

Silent, silvery creatures that were invulnerable to bullets (or had really fast reflexes). Despite being shot at, the creatures continuously peered through windows at their would-be killers, seemingly taunting them.
Notably, the 'goblins' were first sighted with their hands up as if surrendering, and didn't appear at any time to be hostile.

Kinda cool when you think about the imprint these guys have left on pop culture. Sableye, The Gremlins from the movie, Stich.

Good to see someone remembers the 'classics' from modern American monster-lore.

I think these beings, whatever they are or were, were friendly, and just curious about the humans. But being a bunch of drunken rednecks, they of course shot at them and acted in hostility due to fear and ignorance.

Yeah, I think he's kind of cute too. Reminds me a bit of the Keronians from Sgt. Frog

I recall reading about these little buggers. There was also something about there possibly being a Native American legend about such creatures, but I can't remember much about it.

Anyway, I love how you've depicted them. I also find his expression hilarious, as if he's looking in at something he's somewhat disturbed by...

What's interesting about this one, to me, is how there's no easy way to dismiss it as fake. There was no hypnotism (which can leave people open to suggestion and false memories), no attempt by the witnesses to get anything out of it, and corroboration by multiple witnesses. I'm not really sure what to think of it, but if I was to start believing in UFO stories this would be the first one I'd believe.

What's also interesting is how "E.T" was originally going to be more of a horror film, with multiple aliens, directly inspired by the Hopkinsville case : o
