Description 2 of 2 for a reskin test on the scooter and helmet. Far as I'm aware these are actually the models valve used in Expiration Date, since they're lazy as hell in their filmmaking.

Oh, and I've been using SFM for three years as of today. Sweet stuff.
Also on tumblr!

Same place Valve did, from the sfm beta content. source.maxofs2d.net/index.php?… It's the same one used in the short, valve are way too lazy to make new stuff.

Both valve and I recolored it, yeah. Unfortunately I don't think I have the files anymore, so I can't hand them out.

I used gimp, it's free. You can get it here. www.gimp.org/downloads/ You'll also need the vtf plugin for it. registry.gimp.org/node/24882 And this is a tutorial for how to install plugins. en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GIMP/Ins…

Ohh I see! Thank you! Is this where you get that amazing professional-like poster effect too? because i wish so much to do posters like yours! They are so freaking amazing!

Sort of! I use photoshop as well, along with the magic bullet plugin, but both cost a lot of money. I got mine from links on the internet, but I don't have the links anymore, sorry. I think I got them off tumblr though, maybe you can start there. I've also been using gimp for about 6 or 7 years, so it's not really a one-click-done effect so much as me spending 4 hours editing every poster. But many thanks!

Haha sounds like a lot of work indeed. It's worth it at the end though. Well thank you so much for the help. Let's just hope I can figure all this thing out!
Thank you and continue the amazing work! can't wait to see more from you!

Guess it was a pain to reskin that scooter, as textures are from a Vespa

A little bit of a pain, yeah. I went to make it higher poly too, but the vtf looked smoother with the low quality model, so I left it be.

I myself wanted to edit it. Then I realized it was a pain to rebuild an UV unwrap so I scrapped it.
