Edit: That pose was very difficult to make... I wanted him to have an arched back, like he was scared/nervous, but with his longer and shorter legs, I think all I managed was to make him look weird...
NOTE: Yes, I am aware that I already submitted a character, but I realized afterwards how many females there were in Suran, and decided to submit a male instead. I asked; they said it was alright.

Personality
Ceylon is very quiet and reserved, preferring to hide in the background than make himself heard. He is very withdrawn and shy, and doesn't make friends easily. He has a perpetual stutter, which only serves to make his self-esteem even lower than it already is. When he is frightened or intimidated, his stutter gets worse, and that is quite often. The only place where he can feel confident in himself is on the rooftops; he loves to hunt for birds rather than ground prey, and has made himself a makeshift home among the roofs of the dead city. He has mastered running along the rooftops, and has an entire map of the city in his mind. He becomes completely lost, however, if he is stuck on the ground.
Like all cats, he is afraid of the Infected, and he always makes sure to be back in the building well before nightfall.
He hates storms because of the darkness they bring, and with that the Infected come out more often. He is actual quite hyper despite his nervous personality, and so when it is dark and he is stuck inside, he becomes finicky and shaky. He is also prone to nervous fits and trembles all over. He occasionally becomes a bit snappish, but it is only minor and he usually apologizes almost immediately.
In spite of everything, he can also be quite courageous when it comes to standing up to bullies. Well, only when he is standing up for someone else. "You can pick on me, but you can NEVER pick on my friends," He says. However, almost immediately afterwards, he reverts back to his nervous self so that the bullies don't usually take him seriously.
Ceylon only takes his closest friend onto the rooftops, considering it showing them his greatest treasure. He then gives them what he calls a "tour", and though the rooftops are not an uncommon place for other felines, he still thinks of it as his only private place. This honor, as he calls it in his mind, is reserved for only a select few that he trusts with all his heart. He adores sunsets and sunrises, but is afraid to go out for fear of the Infected. If he even gets a short glimpse of pink or orange on the sky, he assumes the day will be wonderful and is then on in the highest of spirits.

Appearance
Tan base color with darker overcoat and slightly paler belly/under-tail. He is covered in very dark brown spots that accompany his lynx-like stripes and striped tail. His spots fade out around his eyes and belly. He has black tipped ears and copper eyes. He is small, with a relatively small head in comparison, with long thin legs. He has a deep chest, however, and has very good stamina and endurance. He has a long tail, and has good balance. His forelegs are shorter than his hind-legs.

Backstory / History
Ceylon came across the Gang quite by accident; he was chasing a bird along the rooftops when he spotted a few raiders entering the hideout. He inquired, quite shyly, about who they were, and seeing the logic in living in large numbers, joined the Gang wholeheartedly. That was only a few weeks ago, and he is still having difficulty adjusting to the change of pace and population.

RP Example
Ceylon readied himself, crouching down low, hind-legs bunched and his forelegs folded under him. He eyed a small window ledge at least ten feet above him. With his target spotted, he leaped, clearing the jump by only a whisker. He scrabbled for a purchase on the stone wall, forelegs on the ledge and hind hanging off. He dug his claws in, grit his teeth, and clawed his way up, panting, to the ledge. He shook out his pelt, then each paw in turn.

"T-that w-was a n-nasty j-jump..." He said to no one in particular, then looked up again.

The roof of the building was still a ways up there, but it was nothing like the jump to the window ledge. It would be easy to get there, and it was always rewarding. He jumped onto the next window ledge up, a mere few feet away and a few feet up. Then, he jumped straight up and onto the corner of the roof. This building was flat on top, with red tile spread out and broken everywhere. The chimney, or what he though might have been a chimney, was nothing but a pile of crumbling bricks. He glanced up at he sky, a habit, and noted the placement of the sun and the few clouds. He still had a few hours yet til sundown. He set off, eyes narrowed in concentration and claws unsheathed for traction. He was on a hunt, and he had scented a pigeon not too far away. For him, it was nothing to find a few birds among the rooftops of the dead city, and he was glad he wasn't just feeding himself anymore.
