They still have yarn in the 41st Millennium? I thought nice things weren't allowed.

Gunna scribble cat puns on her carapace armor at night, that'll teach her to misuse perfectly good yarn for the purpose of garrote wire...

I've actually got a Rogue Trader who's a felinid, though I pictured her more animal-like than this. She's got quite the backstory, and I've been running a Rogue Trader game with her, but she exists mainly because I wanted to seriously crap on the "DEATH TO FURRIES" fan-tards you occasionally hear from in the 40k fanbase, and prove that you could do such a thing without utterly destroying the Lore. Her mother was a wanton deviant, with a taste for catboys. She ended up with the Warrant because she was literally the last survivor of her house, after some incomparable military genius used the rest of her family and their fleet as cannon fodder. It was a case of "Good Cause, Bad Execution" or "why you don't order a frontal charge against a chaos-infested battle line with run-down frigates and cargo haulers." The ship she made off with was a half-stripped vessel that her family had strapped to an asteroid and been using as an orbital dockyard for a millennia. So she's a Felinid with a warrant of trade and a Grand Cruiser. Yeah, it's a bit that kinda game, but we have fun.
Lady DuPree tends to dress in fully enclosed vacuum-rated carapace, or preferably power armor, as the full enclosure allows her to "neglect" to tell people the inconvenient truth of her abhuman status, and the PA gives her access to an elegant winged jump pack. She always has a dashing broad-brimmed plumed hat though. Wouldn't do to be out of style, after all.
Unfortunately for her bottom line, the Inquisition knows her little "condition" and occasionally pulls her into doing "favors" for them... not to say she doesn't manage to squeeze a little profit out of the venture, of course, or that she wouldn't be more than happy to put down some Heresy if they just asked, instead of extorted, but there you go.

Sounds like an awesome story.
Kudos on both you and your storyteller for doing it right; rather than ignoring the weirdness, or hamming it up, it sounds like you play the Abhuman straight, with the complications that implies.

Munitorium grade yarn is used to effect field critical repairs to many things, including, but not limited to, socks, uniforms, cargo netting, tourniquets, camouflage, issued load carrying gear, and as an improvised tripwire in a pinch. it has a 250 kilogram max tested load weight, and comes in a variety of Munitorium approved colors. Check your Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer for the many appropriate uses of Munitorium-Grade Yarn today!

Good yearn is surprisingly strong. I wager it'd be standard issue with Felinid scouts and infiltrators. And milk. Don't forget the milk.

I dispute that. One of my cats used to get a lot of enjoyment out of ambushing the other cat at doorways, and always seemed to be snickering after the ensuing fight.
