Description This is a simple texture I've made following a normal map baking and texture tutorial by Porter Nielsen on Blender Cookie.com. ( [link] )

If you would like to see it react to light, here is a short video on youtube : [link]
Be warn, the quality drop down in the upload.

I'm pretty proud of the final result. If you're interested in those textures, you can have them by clicking the download button. You can use them for anything you want and you're not forced to give me credit for. Just be sure to tell me if you do so.

Have a great day,

Yeah, normal maping is just too awesome isn't it? Have you done the tutorial with the low poly statue?

I haven't made it because I have no model to apply this to but it looks just plain awesome. Tell me how you like it.

Yeah I checked it out and while I can see the practicality in it,like you I have no where to apply it.

We're so screwed.

NO we simply apply ourselves differently. I used what I learned to make textures for my ship and I have learned much in doing so. I'm not much for modeling statues or characters.

Ho, so you have find what motivate your the most in 3D? I'm still searching, there is just too much stuff to learn. But so far, I really like character modeling.^^ I see that you have a robot in your gallery, have you participate in the blender robot contest?

No I'm nowhere near good enough to compete in any kind of contest. right now I'm trying to improve my skills mostly with texturing right now. I like sci-fi stuff so space ships seemed like a natural place to start. I still have so much to learn though.

Ho damn, my weak point has been found.XD
Yeah, you're absolutely right, my renders are always too dark. =/ But I can't come with correct lighting settings gr...

Well, I haven't really ever tried seriously to make one either... guess I should start working for this.

Thanks for the imput.
