A test card from an old set called Castlehunters. I need criticism.
The logic behind the card is this:
In order to have a surplus of food, you need an energy source to power the mill. So, if fortified land is a river aka Island, you can make a surplus and feed the food not only to humans & immortals but to the animals as well.

The mana costs are a bit high. And does it need the tribal restriction? Perhaps letting it put the +1/+1 counter on any creature as the basic ability, and having it put a +1/+1 counter on each of 2 target creatures when it's on an Island.

In general, I like it. It's just really Mana intensive. 9 Mana to get value out of the card in a single turn is pretty steep. Then again, it is a common
