I love looking at photos that show different places and cultures especially if the photographer has done a great job at capturing the "magic" or essence that place. You have done that here. Not only is the architecture interesting to gaze upon (the arches and lay of the steps), but the colors of the costumed performers is richly vibrant. Interestingly the colors are lively and bounce right out of the picture, but the performers themselves are relaxing on the stairs. It makes an interesting visual statement of objects at rest vs. objects in motion IMHO. Great capture!!!

It is often hard to find a photograph that shows both journalistic points as well as artistic points. You have both which tells me you knew what you were doing here. I can respect that.

wonderful combination, with the red costumes that attract the eye.... i had no clue they had such a thing in bergamo, like the venezia one. ah meravigliosa fotografia.
