Soeh, didn't really make it in time, but anyhoo, this weeks challenge over at was silver surfer.Thought i'd give him a bit more streety-cred and got inspired by my sisters wakeboarding. So threw in a little board-grab. I do know that's not his normal metier and maybe doens't fit into his 'destruction-of-planets'n-stuff' but i assume he has to let his hair down too from time to time
Didn't have time to finish it due to irl stuff, but this'll have to do (intended to ink it and lotsa other stuff).
Hope you enjoy, and pleas PLEASe if you have anything good or bad to say, play don't hesitate.

i would say putting him in that pose was good choice--it makes him look more like "Yes I may be the Silver Surfer--but I can be more than regal and stiff."lol

Great job, and that's without considering it's unfinished! Honestly, the only thing that jumps out at me that I think could be changed for the better is the white surrounding the background maybe should have been black, or at least something dark. All the surrounding white kinda takes the focus off him since he's so white, where as if it were black, I think you'd find he would really jump off the page more.
Still, really good job. I love the contrast between his stark white and black against the colorful stars, and the anatomy came out great. I like that you didn't go overboard with the muscles; the Silver Surfer should be more lean, his true power doesn't come from being a muscle bound power house. And I think the pose looks really great, though I'm not an avid Silver Surfer reader, so I don't know whether or not it works for his character.

Thank you so much! It's great you took some time to detail your comment. it's such a great help to get a nuanced picture of what people think. I'm not an avid silver surfer reader as well (actually more into european comics..or have been. probably mostly cause of availability), so think i took quite a lot freedom in this. But it seemed to work okay.
I think youre right about the 'whiteness', and using black. Think it'd make it look not so sketch-ish

This one is my favorite of all the surfers I have seen. Great job on the form of your figure and shading.
Your back ground is great as well. I wanted to do something more like this if I had a bit more time.

Wow thanks man. It was rushed but the only thing that bugs me about it is the face...I should of used a reference. lol At least the concept and lay out came out well. But I still say you won this one.

Really great illust man! and the pose/anatomy is pretty interesting, not easy at all! and yeah, knees can be a pain in te ass some times. I wish youยดd had the time to finish this properly, looks great as it is!

Funny, just checked it out and thought 'hey, you've done exactly what i did', but then i looked at your comment and found out you did it all irl in hand (i just did the usual stuff in photoshop). That's insane! But really great!

Great anatomy and I love the colored background vs/non-colored surfer. It's all very well done for me, and I'm going to have to check your gallery for more like this,
