Mello from Death Note.I found this lurking in the depths of my hard drive… to give you an idea of how old it is, I sketched it when episode 35 first aired in Japan.
I think I was peeved at how much of his involvement they cut out.Wasn’t planning on doing more fanart, but Mello’s a neat character, the sketch was pretty far along, and I enjoyed the excuse to play around with Painter’s palette knives.
So I took an hour to finish it up. It's messy, but I think I need to do more paintings that are a little messy.follow me:

That's how he could look like in the real movie of Death Note... Too bad Near and Mello don't appear there. You technique is superb, and you captured him really well.

Nah, I'm not big on fanart in the first place and Mello was the only character that stood out to me in DN. Right now I'm concentrating all my energy on cutting through that giant pile of half-finished personal images I've got lying around. D: It's my summer goal!

As mentioned before, your technique is hauntingly beautiful, breathing life into all of the portraits of your subjects.
