So, a few months ago I burned out. I completely lost my motivation to do anything. I started this before I left for vacation to try and kick my own ass back into gear, but I couldn’t finish it before I left because I was so listless. But now that I've returned, I feel much better.
I have my energy back—and my inspiration. Anyway, this didn’t take much time to paint… it was more experimental than anything, a different approach to a character portrait. I hope you enjoy; it's been so long since I've had new work to show. <3

wow. i remember downloading this painting from some random place on the internet YEARS ago before i even knew about deviantArt. not a very good thing for an artist to have their work republished all over, but let me get to my point - i had no idea who was the author, where it came from or anything. i just liked it so much that i repainted it on my wall years back haha

Such an amazingly beautiful manifestation of feeling brought forth in this piece. I absolutely love the dark life like shroud as it appears to create a gown to protect, but purposely leaves vulnerable its victim. As she feels not overwhelmed, but somehow safe in its dark mysterious spirit like form. Impressively done!

This piece is positively gorgeous! The whole flow and movement of it is fabulous, and the lighting - while dramatic - really seems very soft. That being said, I think there could've been more definition around her breast because it just kinda fades, however, the piece overall is just stunning.

So incredibly creepy~ But I especially adore the hands with the nails - such an elegant touch! The darkness is looking fairly suave today.
