asked us to do a picture for an auction that was something like "Art for Animals" and I decided to do a colored pencil version of one of the calendar pages I've been collecting from my coworker. She has these calendars at work with a nature scene and a verse from scripture. She was throwing away the days as they passed and I basically said "but but... those are nice full color references..." so she started saving them for me. I eventually will go through them and throw out the ones I don't think I'll ever draw, but I've only yet tried using them for practicing landscapes.
