My character for !

(The Twili's appearance and features are constantly under speculation and question, so I decided to copy Zant's basic facial features. Because having a character that looked like Midna would be.....I dunno......the obvious choice? XD )

Random info about Her:

Arani finds every single thing in this world insanely fascinating, and may end up admiring it for an hour.
Speaks in a weird, thick, Irish-sounding accent.
Although she's learned most of the Hylian language, she slips up occasionally, and may confuse words and their meanings. Hilarity ensues.
Because she's of the Twili race, she moans randomly sometimes, which never fails to confuse people.
Gets excited about things WAY too easily.
Has no weapon training whatsoever, because she's from a peaceful land. If you give her a butter knife, she WILL find a way to get hurt on it.
She uses shadow portals with ease, but don't ask her to transport you anywhere. You may end up at the bottom of the Great Sea.
It takes a lot to scare her, especially since she comes from a land with weird shadow monsters.
Is very intelligent, but quite gullible. It's hard to tell if it's just a clever ruse, or if she actually IS really easy to trick. One can only guess, though.

Abilities/Attacks:

Twilight Portals.

These portals serve as a good way to move around and avoid attacks.

Dark Energy.

She can create dark energy, and shape them any way she pleases. This ability is completely crap if under strong sunlight, though, and becomes incredibly powerful at night.

Tai-Chi.

She is fairly competent in a fighting style similar to Tai-Chi. The only difference is that shadows envelop her, making her next move a little less obvious.

Background Story:

Arani was born in the Twilight realm, a year after Zant, the usurper king, was destroyed. Her parents were record keepers for the kingdom, and were fortunate enough to have complete access to the Twili library. She grew up wandering those very halls, reading every book she could get her hands on, especially the ones pertaining to the outside world. One book immediately caught her eye- one with unfamiliar, strange writings decorating the pages. The only person she knew could read Hylian was Queen Midna. It proved very difficult to speak to the queen, but Arani wouldn't give up. After many months of attempting to bypass the guards, she was finally able to speak to her. Almost as a joke, though, Queen Midna taught her a single Hylian word each day. It took almost 6 years, these little tidbits of information formed into a fairly competent understanding of the foreign language.

As she grew older, so did her knowledge. She became something like the queen's secretary, traveling around the realm to qualm various grievances that were submitted to the court. She didn't mind this at all- not only was she able to meet every single Twili, but she learned how to problem-solve and appease people fairly well. On her 18th birthday, she finally decided to venture out of the world she knew and loved. The moment she transported herself to Hyrule, she was greeted with the harsh sunlight. Almost as a reflex, she hid herself in the shadow of the nearest tree. Disappointed, she returned home. She spent the majority of her time in the castle library, searching for a magic spell to help protect her from the sun. A good, long month passed before she found the spell she was looking for. The elders of the Twilight Realm reluctantly helped cast a protective spell on a small charm attached to her dress, as well as paint a protective marking on her forehead. With that, she quickly returned to Hyrule.

Immediately, she was mesmerized by everything. The grass. The trees, even the smallest insects crawling on the ground. She spent a good couple of days just laying in Hyrule Field, just taking in the amazing and unfamiliar ambience. She wandered around the area for a while, and found herself at Hyrule Castle Town. Fliers advertising the Hyrule Tournament were scattered everywhere, and it was all the townsfolk were talking about. Since she was completely unfamiliar with this world and its inhabitants, she decided to join. Not only as a learning experience, but as a way to broaden her horizons.
