I don't get what you did at the final part to make the lines appear all sharp and nice in the thumb there ?

Just a quick question.
How do you import the texture in?

omg that sounds so rough FHFGHF YEE!! copy pasting is rly useful, taking screenshots of your references and pasting it into a diff sai file is useful too so you can have references in the same program~

wait, you fixed part of the sketch during lineart?!
How did you do that?! D:
I always completely define everything, then feel silly afterwards because it took me 3-4 hours to sketch, then lineart my picture. D:

this is so useful, normally tutorials start like half way when they've already neatened everything and are fully lined and planned.
it's nice to know that great art does start a little messy.
i've always felt really bad that my drawings start and nothing more than scribbles.
and thought i'll never be great at drawing till i can draw perfectly from the get go.
but its really great to see each step of development.

How do you color the lineart?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Chekkumeto In reply to saramara123 [2014-04-28 22:52:48 +0000 UTC]
On the lineart layer, check 'preserve opacity' and it will allow you to color over the lineart without changing the lines.

Perfect icon! But I agree. HE DOESN'T EVEN DO ART! All he does is get popular deviantations, edits them, and posts them as his own. Not only does he do disturbing comments, he uses deviantart as a place for pornography and art theift.

I am a complete amateur and most of this has lost me. I got way too many questions and very little time so I'll ask one pertaining to the beginning: What is the purpose of the drawing being fully grey on step 5 when you got the lineart done? I've seen other artists do this and I still don't understand it completely. I'm sorry for being such a noob T-T
