On The Inside
Diplomatic | Loyal | Intelligent | Serious | Skeptical | Aloof | Rash
[ ] Diplomatic | Because of Grace's calm and and intelligent approach to problems, she is able to find rational solutions to problems that cats who are more emotionally involved may not be able to see. Despite her aloof persona, Grace is understanding of the feelings and needs of other cats, and can be sensitive when dealing with problems. Often acting as the arbitrator between two sides, she helps to find peaceful resolutions.
[ ] Loyal | Although Grace struggles to show affection through the means of words or touch, she is fiercely loyal to those who are close to her. Highly protective, she stands by her friends through anything the world might throw at them and will always be there to help support and care for them. Although it is hard for her to open up and grow close to other felines, once you manage to gain her trust, you'll have a strong and loyal friend for life.
[ ] Intelligent | Grace doesn't speak much at all, but when she does it's usually worthwhile to listen to. Grace possess a high IQ, and enjoys participating in problem solving and mind stretching challenges. With a thirst for knowledge, her quietness means she is always willing to listen to learn more, and can quickly absorb and store information. Even as a kitten, it is clear that she will grow up to become an intelligent she cat, and in the future she will become a cat that can be relied on for tactical plans and rational solutions to problems.
[ ] Serious | As a realist, Grace isn't one to dance around with false hope or whims. Not one to joke around or play much, even as a kitten, Grace prefers to work or study the world. To her, there simply isn't enough time to waste playing around. She can easily keep her emotions in check, even to the point where she struggles to release them and allows them to build up, and isn't often seen smiling. Although she isn't the most playful of cats and comes across as aloof, she is a hard worker and can keep her cool in many stressful situations.
[ ] Skeptical | Even as a kitten, Grace is extremely mistrustful. She holds an almost cynical view on the world, and it'll take a long while for any cat to convince her to even open up in the slightest. She has doubts that cats are well meaning and kind, and believe that most are just working for themselves rather than to help society or any other cat. Even leaders receive the same judgement. Grace is not easily convinced that their orders are right, and sometimes questions whether they're doing things for the good of the tribe or for themselves.
[ ] Aloof | Grace presents an almost cold exterior, suppressing her emotions and appearing distant and remote. She struggles to open up easily to others, and because of this, she often seems unfriendly and even haughty. Her extreme reservedness and inability to easily socialice generally isolates her as many cats may see her as unapproachable. Because of this, she often finds herself alone and although she prefers quietness and tranquility to a whole tribe full of cats, she sometimes finds herself feeling lonesome, and wishing that she was able to be more extroverted. Grace envies those who easily and quickly make friends.
[ ] Rash | For all her intelligence and abilities, if there's one thing that truly brings Grace down, it's her rashness. Although she is more careful in emotional or mental tasks, if an opportunity arises in the physical realm, Grace will take it without much thought. For example, if she spots a cat in trouble, she will rush to help them without surveying the environment to make sure there isn't any danger for herself, or will charge up a tree after a squirrel without paying much attention to the obvious danger of shooting up a tree. Although they are carried out with good intentions, she can often put herself and others at risk.

History
Rowan and Sylvani had a close friendship from the very beginning, and both had loved each other romantically a long time before either of them had been brave enough to admit it. Even though they had begun their relationship a long while ago and both loved each other very much, Rowan was extremely reluctant to have a litter. So it came as a great shock to both of them when it was revealed that Sylvani was pregnant, with varying reactions from the two parents. Sylvani was overjoyed at the thought of finally being able to start the family she had always wanted, whilst Rowan was fearful and anxious of their birth in such an unstable and chaotic time, as well as being doubtful of his own abilities at being a good father.
Despite the unfavourable odds, the kits were born on a late spring day, spending their time in Earth Tribe's nursery.

[ Blue Green - Water | Kato | Outskirts of the Tribe’s Land ]
Pebbles clattered down the stone cold slopes as a cat moved about the ridges, their tumbling temporarily breaking the silence of the night. The noise was amplified by the lack of background noise, and the tom's shadowy figure paused on the ledge above, tense and watchful as his glowing emerald eyes scanned the rocks below. Claws scraped against rock as the undergrowth that bordered the slopes trembled, the feline prepared to leap into battle at the first sign of a predator. A shrew burst from the bushes, disturbing by the falling rocks, and the tom relaxed, before hopping down into the undergrowth and bounding through the shadows.
Kato's paws pounded the ground heavily as he sprinted, heading back towards Water Tribe territory. He had explored the outskirts in search of any sign of his brother, Finnick, but like always, there wasn't even a pebble out of place to single his arrival. Is he really coming? Kato swallowed down his doubt. Finnick had to come. His brother had promise. At least he could look forward to a cozy bed to sleep the day away. He was tired after -
Kato skidded to a stop as the scent of blood flooded his nostrils. Fresh. So wrapped up in his thoughts, the Water Triber hadn't even noticed until he was drowning in it, and he gagged as it poured through his nose and jaws. He had never really scented blood before, and he had never realised how overwhelming the grisly smell was until now. Raising his head, Kato forced himself to drink in the scent as he tried to decide where it was coming from. Maybe it was just a fox that had gotten in a fight with another. There! The scent was strongest just through those ferns. I really hope it is a fox. Kato grimaced as he reluctantly edged forward, terrified at what he might find. What if it's a cat? Fuck, don't let it be a cat. Taking a deep breath, Kato puffed out his chest as if to egg himself on, before shouldering through the fronds, his tail bristling with nerves.
A brown body lay sprawled on the ground, unmistakably that of a cats. A brown body with white patchs and fluffy fur. A brown body with a Light Tribe tattoo. Kato's stomach churned with dread and fear as he raced the last few steps, already knowing who it was. "Yvaine!" He choked out, horror making his whole body tremble. Moonbeams filtered through the leaves above their heads, illuminating the blood that was plastered to her fur and splattered on the ground, dyeing the leaves beneath her crimson. Frozen with shock, Kato's eyes swept over the scene as a gasp escaped his jaws. No ... Not Yvaine.
Finally released, Kato instantly dropped down to the ground and wrapped his arms around her limp body, holding her close to him. Blood tricked onto his fur, leaving smudged stains but he didn't care. "No." He whimpered, pressing his head close to hers. Who'd do something like this; rip her life away just like that? Why? Kato felt sick. This couldn't be happening. Both his mind and vision spun. He could barely think straight.
W-Was she ... Dead?
There was a terrible pause that seemed to last for seasons, and Kato was stiff with tension as he leaned close to her mouth, his breaths coming in short, uncontrolled gulps of air.
Relief coursed through him as he felt her breath on his cheek, faint, but still alive. Tears prickling the corners of his eyes, Kato slowly and gently place her back on the ground. She needed help and fast. There was nothing he could do, but he couldn't be the only cat out here. Plenty of cats he knew loved going to night walks, and that was just in Water Tribe. "Stay there." He whispered, determination flowing through his tired limbs, renewing his energy. There wasn't really wasn't any point in saying that to her, but a mixture of shock, fear and hope made his thoughts whirl. All he could focus on was finding someone, anyone.
Springing upwards, Kato bolted away, his paws a blur as he charged through the night, yowling for help.
