GHOST is based on the idea from teschio who have made the first KDE Theme. After thinking a little bit i have made a theme which is based in the code of teschios theme but i have made some improvements and graphical updates.So a new KDE Theme was born. But that have not been enough. I find the KDE Shell very useful and wanted to make a completely new design with the same layout. So I have started in September 2003 with the GHOST Theme. It have make a lot of fun. And the theme became better and better.
But then in December I heard of the Gathering Theme which have powerful features. And that is what i wanted for GHOST. So i have speaked with the people from Gathering and they helped me out with converting my theme into their engine.

hey, LiteStep is new to me, so my question could be silly, but... where can i change font sizes, cause in higher resolution (1152x864) I cant read anything.

ack.. I'm having some huge issues. when I go to load it up I get a billion errors and I know I have all the moduels for this theme.. is it because I'm a windows 98 user? I can send you a screeny if you really want cause its kinda hard to discribe all the errors cause theres so many. I'm dying to get this puppy runnin! tia

This is the best Litestep theme i have seen so far, and thats saying a lot, transparency, efficiency, fadein/fadeout, icon'd taskbar, fully custmoizable,

Yes, I know it. It's very nice, but I am hooked on Litegnome and have it on both my laptop and desktop systems. I'll have to get with the times eventually but, for now, Litegnome is perfect for me.

Indeed. However, it's quite troublesome to search and see which component in Litegnome needs updating. Since this theme was built so long ago, some configuration were based on pre-OTS era and thus may have some difficult to upgrade some of the modules.

Absolutely stunning. I wish I still used LiteStep. My girlfriend refused to learn it.. and since the computer is as much hers as it is mine... a compromise had to be made. Sigh.. such is life.
Anyway, back to the skin. Everything about this is gorgeous. The colorschemes are lovely, and the overall look couldn't be better. I'll have litestep back one day, and when I do, this will be my skin. Beautiful.

It's one of the nicest theme ever. I get to Beta test it the 2nd half of the period he's using it. I had fun beta testing it. Norman is a very talented artist, he listens to his crew, and he work his arse off to finish off this theme. He's a very dedicated man. In the end, we all see the result of his hardwork, one of the greatest theme for Litestep... EVER.

@ranvier: the fonts "hooge/chicago" are in the misc folder from the theme. you must put them into your windows font dir

@ranvier: Are you sure you have the newest Litestep Installer from Omar. It's the most compatible Installer for GHOST. Maybe you havent then errors with NLM.

@RemiroQuai: You have to right-click on the G-Icon. Then the ConfigMenu opens and you can set different color schemes etc.

An alternative is to shift-left-click the desktop. A menu on theme config will popup and you can change lots of the "Ghost" theme settings there.

Hm. Normally the GHOST theme will be running without installing the Gathering Theme. The modules I have used for the theme are default modules. They are all supported by the NLM.

I agree, best theme I've seen.
I have a slight problem douh, but I dont know if it's related to LS in general or to some specific module of this theme. Every time I come out of hibernation the desktop starts behaving sluggish and some features dont work. A recycle wont help, only computer restart. Have anyone any suggestions on what might causing this behavior?

Then it's weird...NLM can't download those modules until i download it myself...
Btw, may i know what is the font you used for the screenshot? I might need to download that font as i doesn't seems to have "Hodge" fonts.
P.S: Is it because my version of NLM is older?

Sorry for all the replies...BTW, you need the "Gathering" (www.litestep.net) theme installed before you can use the " Ghost" theme. (Correct me if i am wrong, ~normanbates )

Please note that you may be unable to download some of the modules required by the theme. This could be that NLM can't find the module to download from the repository list.
I encountered these modules that can't be downloaded.
* icondesk-0.68 ->
-Download from [link]
-Unzip it in the \LiteStep\modules.
-Change the file name of the module to be "icondesk-0.68.dll"
* xlabel-2.4
-Download from [link] and repeat the steps to put in \LiteStep\modules folder and renaming to "xlabel-2.4.dll"
* comdlgls-0.7
-Download from [link]
-Repeat as above if neccessary. (Don't rename if it's already rename. doh~)
