The piece i'm putting in the Western Idaho Fair this year (they have a pretty decent art contest) ...my daughter with a baby robin that fell out of its nest in our front yard. (no worries guys, the parents took it right back!)

At the barn my horse lives at, a couple of finches decided that one of the helmets inside our trailer would make a good nest- therefore we had four babies at home in our helmet for a couple of weeks. they were just adorable!

I was wondering if I could have permission to draw this for a final in my drawing class. My teacher said that we had to choose a famous artist but I showed him your artwork and he said it was really good and that I was allowed to use it if I asked you and you said yes.

I can work from anything I can see. I'm supossed to render the artwork so the photos aren't needed. I printed off the picture. Now I just have to draw it on this 3 foot tall piece of paper he gave us. T.T Gah, how i hate finals. I could post the final on here, if you want to see it.

Pencil. I just finished the overall practice sketch. Hair and bird are hard!!

hair was hardest for me...she's such a fine blonde, and the way the light was highlighting it... i added too many layers of color and it ended up turning to mud

Started on the final for the exam today. So far, so good. Bird still evil, but the hair is coming along easier now because I practiced. It still evil too. Just finished making the dough for my homemade pizza too. YAY!
