I can fight too!I enjoy 'girl battle themes' in RPGs, there's actually quite a few of them. Enjoy them because I AM SO MANLY, OF COURSE.
Sure, it's condescending that they have to be all cutesy half of the time, as if a woman couldn't have a normal battle theme, but when they strike a certain balance and sound like a normal battle theme while still being cute, I think they're great.
I love the little drum beat in Jenna's, it makes the song sound like it's staggering. It conjures the image of a little skip-step, or the use of fancy footwork! 8D

It is totally worth it. You hear their themes all game and hers is a nice change-up. Honestly I just want to play the whole game with saturos's fight theme playing. So much epicness.

It's one of my favorutite RPG series really, mostly because I played it really soon... Too bad Dark Dawn was disapointing...

I think nostalgia and hype bit Dark Dawn in the butt. Maybe that happens with every series, even.
Because speaking as someone that doesn't think ANY of the Golden Sun games have been special beyond being the most standard and typical as an RPG gets, Dark Dawn wasn't any different from the rest. I think it was disappointing because they stepped backwards into Golden Sun 1 territory. Golden Sun 2 opened up the world and made it massive, which is what Golden Sun 4 is going to do, obviously. Did you SEE how much of the world map was cut off? xD;

Well, going by that logic, why do you like Final Fantasy 5 so much? I'm not insulting, calm down, it's just because FF5 feels like kind of a standard RPG to me...

That's why I just said that's the case for all series. O:
FF5 with was my first, Final Fantasy fans usually roll under those pretenses. Fans of FF6 think it's the best thing ever and reject everything else, fans of FF7 do too, as well as fans of FF9. It's ridiculous, of course.
Golden Sun is no more or less the same. One of it's problems still withstanding, that I think critics are actually right about, is that is has some of the worst dialogue you can get in RPGs. They take forever to say nothing, and it gets pretty infuriating. x.x

The awesome battle system, graphics, world-shattering summons/psynergy/djinn/unleashes, incredibly well done puzzles (even beats Luffia) and the ability to use psynergy all over the world to find a ton of optional stuff compensates the dialoue for me.

Graphics in Dark Dawn, yes, but somewhat horrific graphics in the first two. xD Weird low res sprites made out of 3D models. Is this Mortal Kombat!? And again, summons in Dark Dawn being the best so far. THOR RIDING HIS HAMMER IS THE MOST METAL THING EVER. Nothing necessarily wrong about that game.

What? I was talking about the first two games... It was supposed to be 2D simulating 3D, and thanks to the the effects and sprites during battle, they made it possible... hell, it's one of the best 3D combat simulations in 2D that I've seen. And since the sprites had lot's of colour detail, it was alright in and out of battle, even if during battle they get somewhat pixelated, you'll get used to that.

It did look as good as you probably could have done that on the GBA. I was just happy with how it looked in Dark Dawn given Golden Sun has always been about the spectacle. They gotta stop doing that TEAM ROCKET MAN AND WOMAN villain thing though, the two in Dark Dawn were the least memorable ones yet. It's like everything in it had been done before, ya know.
And if they draw out fighting Alex for one more game I am probably going to break my DS. D8
They'd better wrap it up in the next one, they're stretching things a little too thin now.
