I haven't submitted anything in ages. It's suprising how time flies when you're unmotivated.I'm suprised that this went so well, I haven't painted any animals in quite a while.
I am wondering whether I should add a background though, to bring out the left side a little more.
Anyway, I hope you like it. I would really appreciate some constructive comments too.

OK, not really, but this IS amazing. You're so good at animal paintings it's insane. I love the little freckles all over its skin, it just makes it seem that much more real <3 I've always been told you should fill up a background, but here, I don't think you need. The blank background actually complements the more colourful and detailed giraffe. Maybe a colour wash? But I think adding anything else more detailed would probably distract from it, and take away its focus as the central subject, although that's just my opinion. Either way, this is awesome

I was thinking of doing a wash, just to make the paler parts of the giraffe stand out more. But I'm torn between trying to see what it looks like and possibly ruining it but learning or keeping it and never knowing what it looks like. xD

If you do a wash, it should probably be something light, maybe light yellow to give it an 'old' look, and to match the giraffe.
A regular hug would also be acceptable ;D *squeezes* And you'll never keep me quiet. Never. Ever. Hah.
