First of all thanks to ~jimloomis for his photo [link] .WOW this took a lot longer than I expected. I think I spent 6 hours today on this...and I LOVE COLORED PENCILS AAAAHHHH!

oh yeah and TODAY while I was working on this I listened to 104 songs

I went back and darkened the nose and added white highlights to the eyes

Ow I didnt know that something like that is possible only by using coloured pencils. I mean I dont get it how you mix the colours with pencils :d

What do you mean by blender pencil? Is it the same as white pencil or am I wrong? ;D

its kind of a clear wax pencil that just helps blend colors [link] <- this is what i use and it really helps

the textures the wood,fur etc are excellent.i love colouring pencils, i use a type called polychromos pencils they are more expensive but really blend so much better and are more natural and vibrant.it s really hard to get a good resemblance when drawing from a photo,but you did a grear job.

Was it hard to add the acrylic paint? Doesn't it get mixed with the pencils? That's an interesting technique.

When I was adding the acrylic I was really nervous about messing up, but it just lays right over the colored pencil without messing anything up. I was originally going to color around the whiskers but I got the idea from an incredible piece my friend did [link]
It just takes a little patience, but it really is not that difficult!
