"eff yeah!!" you yelled after scoring your second goal. You and your best friends, Toris and Feliks, along with Toris's friend Edward, were playing a game of hockey. You and Toris were on a team, and Feliks and Edward were on the other.

"Oh my gosh [name] you're like, SO good at this!" Feliks said

You skated over and lightly punched his arm "you're just saying that cuz you're my friend... And I'm beating you!"

"no, like seriously, you're really good!" Feliks said

"yeah [name]!" Toris yelled and skated over "you should try out for the hockey team with me tomorrow!"

"really? You think I'm good enough to make the team?" you asked

"you like, totally are!" Feliks said

"yeah!" Toris agreed

"okay! I'll come then!" You said

"cool! Tryouts are at noon, I'll pick you up around 11:30" Toris said

And with that, you continued your game for about another hour. By the time it ended to score was 5-3 you'd won (obviously) and with that you went home.

-- the next day --

You awoke around 10:30 which gave you enough time to eat your cereal and get dressed before Toris came to get you. You ate breakfast and put on your hockey gear, you know except the skates, and your helmet. By time you were ready Toris was just pulling up to your house. And you ran outside. You jumped in the car and looked at Toris and frowned.

"why aren't you wearing your hockey pads?" you asked

"well you see... Um, so Feliks and I were walking home and um, he decided that we were going to have a snowball fight and started throwing snowballs at me, so I ran away and tripped and fell on a branch and I think I twisted my ankle because it's all swollen now. So I can't skate"

"so you can drive, but you can't skate?"

"there's a big difference between driving and skating"

"so wait how are you going to try out for the hockey team?"

"I'm not"

You frowned "aw so you're leaving me alone!"

"no! I'll be watching in the stands, I'm just not trying out"

"poo"

"it's okay, I'll be watching the whole time. You know, cheering you on!"

You nodded sadly

"hey! You'll do fine!! You'll make the team for sure!" and with that he kept on driving until you reached the rink where try-outs were held. When you got there you tucked your [hair length] hair under your helmet so it wouldn't get in your way, and flipped your skates over your shoulder.

"haha, like that you could almost pass for a guy" Toris laughed

"maybe I am a guy" you said in your best guy voice, then burst into laughter. You then got out and started walking in with Toris, you suddenly became nervous "what if i'm not good enough?" you thought flustered. Toris seemed to notice your nervousness and comforted you as you both walked into the rink. Once inside you had to sign up on a list and then you went over to a bench and put your skates on as Toris told the coach about how he wasn't able to try out so he was going to watch.

"start doing some warm up laps around the ice I'll be out in a minute!" the coach yells to everyone as you finish tying your skates, so slip your gloves on and grab your stick and follow the others onto the ice. You recognized a few from school, like Alfred, Matthew, and Ivan, but you didn't know the other guy's names. You could tell that they were Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, Icelandic, and Swiss, and then there were a few other guys that you had guessed were just from your area. You looked over at Toris as you skated by and he gave you a thumbs up, and you just smiled and skated by. The coach came out soon and you all had to line up. You did some drills and then he decided to line you all up and put you on teams. You were playing rather well when BAM! A puck hit you in the face!!! You fell you the ground and Alfred knelt down next to you.

"aw dude I'm sorry! Yo! Mattie! Help me get this guy up!" they each grabbed a hand and pulled you up and helped you over to the bench. Toris was there with a bag of ice. You moaned lightly as you pulled out your mouth guard and took off your helmet.

"and THAT is why you wear a mouth guard!" you chuckled lightly and put the ice up to your face. Only then did you notice the stares you were getting.

"what?" you asked

"d-dude you're a chick?" Alfred asked

"yeah?" you said "and?"

"there can't be girls on this team!" the Danish looking guy said

"and why not?!" you asked

"'cause, girls can't play hockey! They're not good!" he replied

"really?" you asked

"yes now you need to find the girls teams!" he said

"there are none! That's why I'm here! Now why can't girls just play with the guys?!" you screamed pulling the ice from your face

"'cause girls are defiantly not as good as guys, and guys are way too rough for the girls!"

At this you stood up "I'll show you how can play hockey better! This isn't the last you'll see of me!" you then turned and walked out of the arena, plotting your scheme.
