I've been wondering this a lot recently too... I've never been a huge fan of hers, but I don't understand how she survived the fall. Makes me wonder if the Director made a copy of her... and she got out.

CORRECTAMUNDO! At the last second, if you look closely, you can see the grappling gun in her left hand. I didn't see it until like the third time I watched the episode, but it made sense.

I'm going to contend that she has that grappling hook gun, and could very well have saved herself as she was not unconscious. Of course, this poses another question: could there be two Carolinas? The real one and a robot built by her father out of guilt?

What I should have said was: who was the Tex AI based off of? Did 'Tex' really die and was there every a Tex?
Was the Tex AI based off of a dead woman named Tex, or was it based off of the still alive Allison (and Allison doesn't know)? Like how Church AI is based off of the still alive Church.

'Tex' is just an abreviation of "Texas," her Project Freelancer callsign.
The last few episodes of season 10 clarify that Tex is actually (presumably) the first of the Alpha fragments, Beta, who, yes, is based off of Allison, the woman the director loved.
Church was the Alpha, who was created in the Director's (who shares the name Leonard L. Church) image.
Really, the big question I have is why Church never has or had the Director's southern accent

I think another mystery is how Carolina didn't know about Tex and who she really was. I've seen all of project freelancer but I don't think she ever comes to the realization that Tex was a reincarnation of her mother.

I think she did at some point learn the truth, she just never telegraphed it.
Like with the director; It's clear at the end that he's her father, but never during the two prior seasons did she telegraph it, or even acknowledgement.
In short, Carolina's got some SERIOUS parent issues!

Yes because they talked about how she supposedly "died" before, and how everyone thought she was dead. And in this scene, you can see her grappling gun. Also, who else was going to take time off the MOST IMPORTANT ROAD TRI- I mean MISSION EVUR of finding the Director to go mourn about York? And who else is going to impersonate this bitch?
