...The pain in that says it all.

All of u, remember that that is Alpha or Epsilon, and is the exact but fractured copy of a broken man who lost his girlfriend\Wife and was just tryingbto get her back.

"You shoot me in the head, you stick a bomb in my gut and you blew me up with my own tank!"

Technically, two of those issues were caused by you, Church. You went back in time and reprogrammed Sheila by accident and you left your sniper rifle lying around for Caboose to find.

If you hadn't died the first time, you wouldn't have had Sarge make you a new body, where he would have taken advantage of the situation to place a nuke inside the robot.

Not only that, you poisoned your Captain, you shot Tucker in the back with a rocket launcher, you planted the idea for Sheila and Lopez to rebel against Red and Blue and your aim still sucks.

You can act all high and mighty, but like the Director before you, you caused the very problems that you have to live with every single day.

Church didn't go back in time, though. THe time travel was just Gamma fucking with him.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Aqua311 In reply to ToaArcan [2015-03-28 00:11:49 +0000 UTC]

But he did.

The distress signal that brought Red Team back to Blood Gulch in Season 3? Church told Sheila to send that out to bring everyone back to the canyon.

Caboose had it right in season 7:

"What if Church travelled back in time using Wyoming's special ability power-"

Or we could just listen to Burnie:

"If you're watching RvB for its amazing continuity then you're watching the wrong show,"

ToaArcan In reply to Aqua311 [2015-03-28 00:18:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, forgot that.

However, the one ranting is Epsilon Church. Alpha Church was the one that time-travelled. Epsilon Church has Alpha's memories, but only the ones from before he was split off. He only knows what the Reds and Blues can tell him, and as far as they know, he tied via teamkilling, not his own attempts to save himself.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Aqua311 In reply to ToaArcan [2015-03-28 01:06:13 +0000 UTC]

It makes me wonder if Epsilon siphoned Alpha-Church's memories when they were in close proximity.

Or if Epsilon was connected to all of the fragments while they were still alive? Otherwise how could his memories of them be so accurate?

Hell, Epsilon-Church remembered Grif's sister and there's no way Caboose could have told him about her. He thought she was Church's twin brother who came from the moon.

As for the ranting, you've got to remember that Church never admitted to being responsible for the events of the first two seasons. When he reunited with them in the present, he recounted the bits he was willing to tell.

Caboose said, "So, you went back in time and didn't change... anything,"

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ToaArcan In reply to Aqua311 [2015-03-28 01:09:33 +0000 UTC]

I doubt it, since Epsilon was a blank when they first met him, after Alpha got wiped.

Since they were all aspects of Alpha, he'd probably know them better than anyone else.

Tucker could've. Or Grif could've. Church wouldn't have only learned stuff from Caboose.

True.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Aqua311 In reply to ToaArcan [2015-03-28 03:16:05 +0000 UTC]

Epsilon had the memories but, like a human being would, they were repressed after the trauma Alpha went through.

Actually, Church appeared to get all of his memories back after he got a suit of armor... or was it because Grif kicked him? Maybe Washington, I don't know.

My point is that he seemed to be himself again as a blue solder with a sniper rifle.

I agree 100%. It was the first time in 10 seasons that Caboose left Church. Honestly, no one thought that he could. I just wish that things could have ended better from some characters than what did happen (i.e. Wash and York).

Is it wrong for me to feel like to some extent...both 'sides' (Epislon Church and Carolina vs Wash and the BGC) are to an extent both correct?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Overlordflinx In reply to rossriders [2012-11-19 00:23:26 +0000 UTC]

Explain your reasoning.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

rossriders In reply to Overlordflinx [2012-11-19 23:14:29 +0000 UTC]

I guess my reasoning could be summarized like this...apologies if I don't make a lot of sense...

Both sides have a point to the what they feel, for the case of Epslion Church and Carolina, they both know of the directors crimes, they both feel he has to pay for them.

At the same time, the BGC crew, at least a few people (like Sarge) are aware that yes, the Director is responsible for a lot of their troubles, Sarge in particular said it himself that yes, he's a dirtbag, but wonders if killing him will actually solve anything. Wash of all people, who has wanted to take the director out himself, had decided to finally give up revnge and let go of the past, something that Carolina and Church both seemed to be yet to be able to really do at that point.

While I can understand that at some point a lot of the BGC had to be called out for their actions in seasons 1 through 5 among others, they are the very same people whom have also helped him out on more than one ccasion.

Hell, caboose, did manage to bring Epslion back on at least one occasion, the Blood Glulch crew have gone out of their way to help Epislon more than once. Yes there was at least once of those instances becuase of Carolina, but they have gone to some trouble to help him. For him to just go and say that they were only a problem...

then there's the fact for the most part, Carolina had not been exaclty been kind to the BGC crew, more or less ordering them around while giving them little to no info and then asking them to be cannon fodder while she (and Church) try to get the Director...

I'm not gonna claim I saw what happened in ep 18 to be something I exaclty expected, but I knew something was going to happen at some point.

...wish i could make more sense but then again, I've been trying to write something of an analysis/rant ever since Episode 18 was up, and while I have seen the last few episodes of Season 10, I still feel a bit compelled to try and finish it, key word being try.

Hope I made some remote sense.

AuroraBlix In reply to rossriders [2013-01-21 22:42:30 +0000 UTC]

I concur. But, as a default decision, I side with Alpha-Church and Epsi-Church on most matters. Besides, it's not as if any of what he said in this episode was at all a surprise. They all know (or, at the very least, SHOULD know) that he pretty much hated them all. He stated as much in pretty much every episode. Why they should react so badly when he said it that last time never made any sense to me. What - did it finally make its way into their thick skulls that 95% of the shit he's been put through is, more or less, their fault?!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

rossriders In reply to AuroraBlix [2013-01-22 15:40:49 +0000 UTC]

I think a reason for the bad reaction stems from how for all the hatred Alpha and Epsi church had stated towards the BGC, for all their faults, for everything they caused...

These are also the same idiots, the same ones who did put him through all the crap, whom also came to his help. I'm not saying it entirely forgives them for all the crap they put church through, though call me infreaking insane to suggest they (the BGC crew) didn't come out of the entire affair unscratched (nor were they entirely responsible for all the crap he has gone through) either, and...

Well...

I'll respect your view on the whole matter...I see it more as a case of...for lack of a better use of words for right now, an eveuntal falling out.

Yes it's true that on one end they should have seen it coming, yet between Church and Carolina (another ramble I'll leave for another time) more so with her doing next to nothing to really stop or explain or warm up to the BGC crew (although I would like to think I have an understanding why she was the way she is)...

Well I'd say some more...but then I'd start to really ramble...

That and how I sometimes fail to make sense and end up causing more confusion.

I'll just simply say that I'll try to explain my points more in a long-winded ramble I've been trying to finish after Episode 18.

... Good point.

Warmaster-Tarik [2012-10-29 17:26:07 +0000 UTC]

After this, I realized just how jacked up the Reds and Blues are. These are guys who should never been considered for military service and yet they've been run through the same situations that beat the Freelancers (the best of the best) into a pulp. I think in season 10 the Reds and Blues finally figured out how outclassed they are.

And let's be real honest, Carolina and Epsilon haven't really been doing much along the way of earning trust in their teammates, or even for that matter explaining what the hell is going on (I think Wash is the only one who has a clue aside from Carolina and Epsilon). They're right, but that doesn't count for much if your team has had it with you.

Still, I was overjoyed after episode 20

I'll be honest, I understand why Carolina is mad, but she's just been taking too far recently. Church on the other hand, I can't blame him. Some say "Well those things happened to Alpha and they're his fault!", well Epsilon is Alpha, he's reached metastability at this point and through the things he's been through as Epsilon, he's been through worse than any of them could have gone through. While yes they did save him, that honestly was horrible for him, he let Tex go and was ready for death. Since the day of his creation, he's been lied to, broken down, and tortured, he has every right to be mad and I do like church even more because he realized he took it a little too far. He doesn't just want to do this for himself, he wants to do this for everyone the director has screwed over. I've noticed since his implantation in Carolina he's been more aggressive.

I love the action packed episodes, but these heart wrenching ones along with episode 12, they've got some great writing going on, they get the emotions going. Was heartbreaking as they all turned their backs on Church, especially when Caboose did :/ felt like crying T_T. But it was nice to see Wash quit being spineless towards Carolina and standing up for his friends. Loving this poster ^^ Maine was getting preeettty heated in the opening of this episode, sooon . That was actually rather surprising. It'd be a lie to say Church hasn't blown up before; he's done it countless times before, but it was always been played for laughs. But here, it was something else, something different.

Ever since he since he started getting buddy-buddy with Carolina, I've been worrying about what would happen. Those worries were then doubled when Tucker, of all people, started to become worried about it.

I guess my worries turned out to be true...

I got all teary eyed from this point to the end of the episode. I feel so bad for everyone
Carolina finally finds what she is looking for, but when she makes her decision on the plan, others disagree, after all of her searching
Washington has to decide between who he wants to be friends with
Reds and Blues: they realize they are only being used and no longer want to help
Church breaks some long term friendships
And for me....well church..broke my best friend relationship DX
