Description
Still doing kirin-ish creatures inspired by plants, but this series is graphite drawings specifically based on familiar trees.I'd been wanting to do something for weeping willows for ages, so here we are!

I love willows too, they look so serene yet they are just so... tenacious? I've heard many people regret having them so close to buildings, since those formidable roots wreak havoc on foundations!

They are. Seeing how their roots can break apart concrete is just fascinating and intimidating. I love them regardless ;D When I was a child I sat down under a willow that had little lightbulbs wrapped around its trunk and branches, and when I looked up the tree, seeing those branches hang down with all those lights, I felt like I was in a fairytale. Since then there's a big place for those trees in my heart. ;D
