No not a military scene. I have done fantasy, Sci-Fi and more traditional subjects but never tried a Military subject.

Do you think military groups would be interested in having a "unit portrait"? eg a recon squadron getting a LAV oil portrait or a fighter squadron getting a A10 painting?
I could just see your oil painting hanging in the Officer's mess or Sgts mess.

No military links from the past? Member of a military group associated with your old unit? DoD may be worth contacting or a Vetrans Day association. In Australia we have RSL clubs (Retired Servicemen's Clubs) which always have military items & art in the foyer & about the club. Maybe you have similar?
