Habitat: Grasslands, Savannas, Deserts, Beaches,
Diet: Omnivorous; diet consisted of melons, carrion, bustard birds, rodents, gazelle fawns, seal pups, sea lion pups, eggs, insects, truffles, bat-eared foxes
Description: This scruffy looking scavenger, even though strongly resembled the striped hyena, but this hyenid is distinguished from 3 hyena species, by their long shaggy coat. Exceptions for spotted hyenas, which they have round ears, and had spots, brown hyenas are like most hyenas, which they have stripes, and pointy ears. Striped hyenas lived from northern sub-Sahara Africa(especially the northern, western, and eastern parts of Africa) to the Middle East and to Indian subcontinents, while brown hyenas lived in the deserts of Southern Africa, including the southern Kalahari and Namib Deserts, Mozambique, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and the coastal beaches in southwestern Africa. These greater hyenas get their name, from their brownish shaggy fur, within creamy neck ruffs, and their legs are almost light-grayish with blackish stripes. Brown hyenas lived variably from one solitary individual, to that these hyenas lived in packs, called "Clans" or "Cackles." The clan/cackle is consisted of 4-6 members of the clan, all lead by a breeding pair. Like the society of the graey wolves(Canis lupus/nubilus), the two leaders of the clan, are both male and female. They can cooperate together, in order to defend their cubs. They can carry their food to their cubs, like that of striped hyenas, but unlike spotted hyenas. They can scare away their competitors from their kill, aggressively towards leopards, cheetahs, and graeyback jackals, which these shaggy hyenas can misplace the competitors away from their kill, despite that brown hyenas are aggressive scavengers. In Kalahari Desert, that brown hyenas are often the dominant carnivores, because of the dominant behavior, and scarcities of lions, spotted hyenas, and packs full of African hooey hounds(aka African Wild Dogs, Cape Dogs, African Dholes, Painted Dogs, etc.). In rare occasions, that spotted hyenas and lions are dominant predators to brown hyenas. It is extremely rare, that you can see the brown hyenas on cartoons, like Mr. and Mrs. Brown Hyena, the two wolf-like felines(the audience are often confused that they think that they are golden jackals, or wolves) who worked with Crocodile from the 1970's featurette, based on the Bible's chapter, the Ark, is Noah's Animals, but you have never seen them before, because brown hyenas are the rarest of the hyenas, but they used to be the Endangered Species by their conservation status. Some people said that they are actually near threatened, but some others said that brown hyenas are classified as vulnerable species.

I now this conversation is old, but YOU NEED TO SHUT THE F**K UP! Still too greedy, selfish, and cowardly of you is it, when you pester me for your help, while I'm busy, just like that selfish, cowardly, and greedy, baby-ish designerboy7  (was it because he's helping SuperMarioZaki?!)pestered me for his help, while I'm busy with my room since December 2015, not only like I told that dumb**s KallyToonsStudios  to stop pestering me like a dumb over-excited piece of crap!? I don't need to give advices about your Mythology series, anymore. And I don't care if I suffer from mood swings, where'd you told you about people who you think they suffer from mood swings?! As Lord Dragaunus said to Wraith, "This conversation is CLOSED!!!"
