after having a HUGE oingo boingo high, i decided that i should purchase the nightmare before christmas cause danny elfman compsed and sang of of that shit. only to realize disney likes to sell the nightmare before christmas every now and then to just tease the fuck out of everyone.buuuuuut they had the corpse bride for $7, which is no nightmare before christmas. but i think its' something. i absolutely love the character designs. how the living are so restricted and dull, how the dead are so free and jazzy. and the corpse bride is WAYYYY hotter than sally any day.
the music wasn't as good as i had hoped. i find only hte piano duet and bonejangles's song it's saving grace. fuck, he has a sexy singing voice...
so this was a practise piece. i never really gave painting on the comp a go, relying more on my lines. well, this is line free. and i'm going to stop with it now cause i got more pressing matters to deal with, lol. i imagine my commissioners at this point are beside themselves cause i produced this than their commissions. >_>;;

I've always sort of liked Corpse Bride more than Nightmare, just because I feel like the story is so much deeper. But then that's just me. (oh no, I can feel the thousands of hate mails already!)

I never really noticed, but you're right. The living are all stiff and boring, sipping tea and wearing tightly strung corsets and bustles, and the dead are downstairs throwing a party! I'd rather be dead! XD JK.

That is danged sexy fan artwork of the Bride. I love the way you brought out the gentle sadness on the highlighted side of her face and then you went and kinda contrast it with the hollow deathliness of the shadowed side.
Making the undead look totally loveable.

Aww, don't bash on Sally. She's cool too! This is an amazing picture of the Corpse Bride. Great job! (And no, the songs aren't as great as the songs in Nightmare, but holy cow, how can you get any better than those songs?)

Too true. Bonejangles's song rocked the casbah. But of course, that's because Danny Elfman sang it. And you can totally just hear the Boingo-ness in it, can't you? With the xylophones and whatnot? SO great.

Yeah...I hope Burton's 'Alice In Wonderland' will not suck out loud. I loved 'Sweeney Todd' more than life, so hopefully Alice will be as good.
