Description James Scott Cabin at Heritage Park Museum of East Texas in Edgewood, TX

Historical society marker: "James Zechariah Scott (1851-1906) came to this area from Kentucky prior to 1875 and built this cabin for his bride.  Their seven children were all born here.  In 1987 the cabin was moved to this park and restored.  The Kitchen is furnished with original furniture, appliances, and utensils of the 1900-1920 period donated by Lloyd R and Eloise Pettigrew Ellis.

The Heritage park is a full city block in the downtown area of Edgewood, TX with a collection of historic buildings from the area's history.  Some of the buildings had markers and information on them, however, my visit was about 2 years ago and I don't have the history of many available to me any more.  I do plan to return in the near future so I can get more pictures and some history of each building on the site.
