Description Another piece in my collection. Concept of rifle with integrated silencer.
Code name: HTEC.
Program: 3ds max
Engine: Vray
Model: Highpoly
Objective was to create rifle with breathe of high tec but not from far future. I wanted to design something that looks it could be born in 5 years. I went back to basic rule. Simplicity. Priority was simple design with ”stream line” and aerodynamic feeling. There are 2 version of skin. Rendering is made in color scheme between black and white with few drops of blue. Design, modeling rendering is mine. Hope you like it. Tnx for comment and tnx in advance if you push positive icon down there

I uploaded 4 pictures of this. They can be found in my gallery.

Is the butt shock extendable? As it looks there isn't enough room for a proper cheek weld and eye relief.

The length of pull is way too short for such a long and front heavy weapon, there is also too little space behind the magazine even for a telescoping bolt design. Watch out for this as it's a problem I am constantly seeing with fictional bullpup designs and I notice all of your bullpups share this ergonomic weakness.

Cool design but I'm baffled on how the bullet would get to the chamber with the magazine so far to the rear. The aesthetics are amazing but functionality might be an issue. Very impressive looking none the less....
Maybe update the design to have the mag in the traditional position & incorporate the for mentioned Bi-pod just to the front of it?.......(check out pics of the "FR F2", "AS50",& the "M99")

It looks like a standard bullpup design. There is an ejection port above the magazine indicating that would be the location for the chamber. I would assume that the manual bolt, like the trigger mechanism, simply activate the mechanics at the chamber. Do a google image search on bullpup firearm and you will see real world firearms that use this design. The reasoning behind it is to increase the barrel length while keeping the weapon short.

PS: That is a very cool looking weapon.

it could be like you wrote. I have no experience in real gun. I mainly focused on 3d part of work. never argue with people about real functionality... tnx for update.

This gun would definitely benefit from some sort of bi-pod. It looks like something that was meant for urban snipers.

one thing though, did you draw a picture of it in Photoshop and then model it with the pic in the background or did you just start like, oh hey imma make this super awesome gun out of a square? sorry for all these questions but i really like your work!

peterku In reply to PaMaThreat [2011-11-27 22:40:40 +0000 UTC]

I work from big to small. originally I use boox and pencil but now I prefer to start with few boxes in 3ds max and then add more and more detail.
