Suicune as a mammal-reptile creature, i think this group of animals are called synapsids with a more fancy name? It was the only group that I thought all the three beast pokémon to suited well into, reptile-like creatures with horns, armor and furr + no other ears. I thought it would be a bit more original and intresting too
I don't know the features of synapsids very well though.

Suicune is a rare pokémon and very little is know about them. Few ones have been seen alie, and most studies are based upon dead individuals.
It seams like both males and females have lots of ornaments such as horns and two strange, bundels of long hair near their tail. Thus it's belived that the suicune is a monogamous pokémon, who find a mate for life, and therefore both the male and female have to be attract the partner. It's also possible that the ornaments are involved in some kind of mateing behaviour, such as dancing and show off. The horns however may just be for, such as the head armour, defence. Though, it's also suggested that the suicune do not only have a show off mating behaviour but also fight, and this would be why the head doesn't only have horns but is also well protected with armor.
If they are monogamous and have a complex mating behavior, it might be one of the reasons why these beings are so rare.
The mysctic raikou and entei is belived to be very simular to the suicune and close relatives, but just as little are know about them as about suicune.
