In a Skype group I'm in, someone posted a link to a prompt on Ponibooru for "Humanized Rainbow Dash in an athletic wheelchair" that had been attacked like mad in the comments. Along with the person who'd shared the link with me, I decided to take up the prompt if just to poke at the haters.Related content

A long way to go before we reach true, widespread acceptance of disability, and until then there will be people who can't reconcile the idea of someone being awesome while still having a handicap. It's a shame, but we can still try to make it better!

Within 10 minutes of the picture making it onto Ponibooru, it had been tagged "Patrick Warburton," which I suppose says something about overlapping subcultures and fandoms.

I imagine if this were to happen to Dash she would manage to pull through, and still do things she likes somehow. 
Judging from the usual comments on Ponibooru, it's one of the more uglier sides to the fandom.

Yeah, but personally most "bronies" or FiM-fans are quite nice whom I've talked to. The bad eggs are just a small amount of fans, don't let them get to you.
Ponibooru & Ponychan tend to be the more "immature" places, I hear.
