Yeaaahh! it's finished, finally! this thing was a huge pain in the butt >_< that lighting was difficult, the wings tried to kill me, that metal armor was awful to draw... well, you get the point

Anyway, this is Altair, also known as Morgan, Cascade or the Queen of Eagles (that's where my nickname on DA comes from!) and she is a character I made up years ago. I really must write down a short bio about her someday, this character is really old and I made up quite some stories about her. She still looks a bit different in my head though... Her wings for example have black and golden details, but a monocolored pair of wings was difficult enough. My boyfriend says she looks like me, but I am not sure about that. She does have exactly the same haircut as I have though

I hope you like her, a lot of time went into this. I think I will adapt my drawing style a bit now, this thing is just a bit too detailed and definitely too time consuming.

Ow, and this Altair has nothing to do with Altair from assassins creed. I made her up before that game came out She is named after the star Altair, which is the brightest star of Aquila, the eagle.

EDIT: I decided to repaint this thing, even though the original isn't that old (a year or so). I just wasn't completely happy with the lighting, wings and background. I am still not completely happy, so maybe I'll change it again This is the original:

Prologue - a State of Equilibrium
There was that feeling again. He was used to it, after suffering from it for years. It was so unpleasant though that he still couldn't ignore it. It felt like his skin was pinched by thousands of hot, long needles. It always happened when it was time for him to wake up. Luckily it only lasted a second, and it was just a fraction of the misery that already darkened him. The pain faded, and he stood up in the middle of an endless sea of grass, blades moving slowly in the wind. The pieces of his armour clattered softly against each other. Dark blood stained the shining metal, but it wasn't his. He wondered why he always wore it; he didn't need protection. Getting wounded was something he didn't care about. Maybe he should leave it behind. He started fumbling with the clasps of his armour, while he looked at his surroundings. Only a few gnarled trees were scattered amongst this dull, monotone la
