Description
This was part of my final for Illustration. We had to draw 3 pieces from the same story, and the story I chose was Garth Nix's Old Kingdom Trilogy.

This one is of Sabriel and Mogget in the paperwing, being chased down by gore crows. I took some creative license with the setting and such due to laziness and my desire to keep the palette limited. I had to compromise on my vision of the paperwing due to time constraints. I really imagine it looking like it has more feathery wings sort of? But whatever. I had less than a week to do 3 of these.

I love how Sab herself came out.

I think the school scanner jacked up the contrast, so the background doesn't look nearly as dark and ominous as it does in real life, but I'll fix that with photoshop once I feel less lazy. And I know I made all sorts of mistakes on this, but like I said, less than a week and 3 of these to do. I couldn't agonize over everything XD

.. My scan of this kinda sucks. I'll finish cropping it later. Dx
