okay, so pictures 1 to 5 were all taken in the dark room that you see in picture 7 (my workspace), with a digital camera, and picture 6 was the actual scanned and finished product.it's not great quality, but its the best i can do on this laptop, sorry guys. i think it gets the point across though.

I love your drawings, they are wonderful, I anted to know what kind of pencils do you use, please if you answer id love to know the brand , so i can buy them, ive been looking fo rpencils to get me that out come but they are all too...i dont know how to describe it, basically the graphite is all over the page once finished the drawing.
oh and im so glad to find someone who finally does it manually, without photoshop help, though there are a few others (:

which colour pencils did you use?
I draw also faces (with one stumpy pencil) en they look nice but I never get the eyes so smokey.

yes. i feel if you don't, drawings tend to look washed out, poorly scanned, or smudged a lot of the time.

Okay, I'm VERY new to deviant art and how i found out about this was from some person on yahooanswers because i wanted to sell some of my drawings. But he told me I dont have good enough drawings. I just wanted to know, because it says in the agreement for posting your drawings is that they have all rights to your drawings. I didn't know who to ask and since your a very good drawer and have been here for a year to ask you a couple questions, it said you dont have the premium account thingy but can you still sell portraits and stuff? sorry if this is too much I didn't know how to reach you anywhere else. like i said VERY new, still afraid to add any pictures

This is actually really helpful. I normally outline the face first and don't put in any background shading but I'm going to try that now. I think it looks awesome.
