Description Just another weird little scene from the Archieverse.
I wish I had the rest of this story, love to know what the heck was going on.
Of course in my mind, it would've ended up with Archie inside the inflatable girl friend.
For now its just another example of kinks in the comics.

I see it. Say you know my favorite studios are Walt Disney, Flechers, Walter Lantz, MGM Cartoons, Jay Ward, Hanna-Barbera, DePate-Freling, and Ruby-Spears.

Never been much of a Disney fan, cartoon shorts wise that is.

My personal faves are Warners Looney Tunes, MGM, Fleischer (especially Popeyes) some good stuff from HB and Depatie Freleng too.

Ever seen the Columbia shorts?

They have mostly mediocre to bad ones but there are a couple of gems.

Oh you mean like Columbia's UPA cartoons like Mr. Magoo?

No, Columbia at one time had a cartoon studio of it's own.

This may be the best of it's output.

But try a search under Columbia cartoons on YouTube and you'll find a lot more.

Oh I did not know that. What kind of cartoons did This Columbia original studio had. The only Columbia cartoon studios I know are Charles Mintz the studio that did Krazy Kat and Scappy, and UPA cartoons the creator of Mr. Magoo.

Mostly mediocre to bad but some interesting ones.

As I said, try searching for Columbia cartoons on youtube.

I looked at the cartoon from Columbia on YouTube it was very funny. I didn't know they made a parody of Sherlock Holmes. Oh i heard they did a cartoon series called "The Fox and the Crow."

Yeah, that Holmes parody is probably their best cartoon.

Fox and Crow were a long running series from Columbia, it started from a UPA short The Fox and The Grapes I believe.

Actually the Fox and the Crow's first cartoon: The Fox and the Grapes was at Screen Gems for it was made in 1941 besides UPA was founded at 1948 where at 1949 Mr. Magoo was created. And that cartoon of the Fox and the Crow was an inspiration of Chuck Jones' Roadrunner cartoons at Warner Bros.

My error.

Interesting how Fox & Crow are almost forgotten these days. They had a long running comic with DC and were popular enough that a local amusement park had  a painting of them on a ride.

But then as I said, Columbia may be the most forgotten of all the studio cartoons.

Wait. There were paintings of them on the ride? I did not know that. Anyway of how I known that is i watched it on YouTube and looked it up on Google and Wikipedia.

Yeah, they had painted Fox & Crow, Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse and I think Daffy Duck (maybe Donald) on flat pieces of wood that surrounded a circular kiddie boat ride.

They had been done in the 60's and never repainted so by the nineties they had faded quite a bit and were finally removed.

I love finding animation on YouTube, rare 30's stuff, obscure companies and even indie pieces done by artists.

Have they paited Walter Lantz's Woody Woodpecker and Chilly Willy and Tex Avery's Droopy? Anyway I liked to too. You know my first Disney series I found and watched on YouTube when I was little was the Disney Afternoon series: Darkwing Duck, and Bonkers.

No, don't think they ever used Lantz characters.

This was done years and years ago so the paintings faded and were finally just removed.

Why my favorite is Ducktales, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Gargoyles, and Timon and Pumbaa.

Many thanks Doc, interesting kink at the end, though no where near as kinky as my version.

Care to search for another Archie story I have only a sample of?

I could give it a shot. I lucked out on this one in that there were apparently several blogs/posts and a few had the comic info. Which one are you looking for?

Its the middle pic here. [link]
I did not think it was back in the seventies though.
The plot is some guy is doing a scam where he soaks a girl then offers to have her coat cleaned but instead steals it.
Veronica talks Archie into stopping him.
I'll have more to say when I post it.

I'll see what I can do. I've found a few comics with Archie in drag, but not this particular one.

The story is called Splash Down.
Now lets see if it can be located and scanned by someone.

I don't have it and don't see it listed in any torrent packs. Found one named Splash Down, but it's just a recycled title.

Not only that but she's a redhead.
So much like most of Jughead's girlfriends (Ethel does not count) she has the same color hair as Archie.
Must be seeing Arch in drag so much.
