Mostly Eisners compulsion to shut down Disney's 2-D animation studio, so that he could replace it with a 3-D studio. Which is why you have "Chicken Little and "Meet the Robinsons". With Pixar, Dreamworks and even Fox animation doing so incredibly well he wanted to kill the style. Ignoring the fact that the reason Disney animation hadn't had a hit for years was because accountants were deciding story elements. "Home On the Range" was made because an accountant told the studio people like cows. I'm not making that up. Thats how it started. Then 2-D animation had to (HAD TOO, No Choice) make a cow movie.
