Kiriban art for wraith11 of his nameless character.I tried a lot of different/new things while coloring this character. I tweaked how I color hair, I wanted a more realistic look. I've altered how I color the eyes (namely the whites of the eyes). I've changed how I shade the skin and the sweater. I used a lot of unsaturated colors versus using their 100% saturated cousins and honestly, I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

Firstly: my apologies for taking so long to respond, I've been either working or travelling since Wednesday morning.
That aside though, this is absolutely fantastic. I love what you've done with her, and the tones for the hair are spot on, and that jumper is fantastic. Glad to hear you got to try a few new things with it as well.

I'm so glad you like her! I really enjoyed drawing her. Before I started I was wondering how I was going to handle drawing a character with short hair (I guess all my characters have long hair....lol) but I really liked it. Makes me want to go develop some characters with pixie cuts.

Haha, funnily enough I always get jumpy about drawing long hair, so most of my characters tend to max out at a bob-cut.

Oh, I think that's definitely a thing that could happen. In my current state I couldn't promise to get anything done in a hurry mind, but I'd be down. Did you have anything in mind? Note me if you want to kick around ideas.

Shoot, if I ever had an idea that came to fruition, that would surprise me. I fly by the seat of my pants. Most of my original sketches don't even make it to ink because I'll alter them as I ink them. lol

Eh, I think altering the intent as you go is just part of the process. What you may have had in your head needs changing as it's refined onto paper/tablet... and working in digital makes that even easier.
What were you thinking? A one does the lines, the other does the rendering? Throw a couple of characters in together?

I will say, digital is WAY easier, but at the same time, it can be it's own sort of difficult.
