This picture was definitely a test for me. Between the background, lighting, the hair and what I wanted to depict, I'm pretty sure I was tested at every point in this picture. And then, close to the end, my tablet went KAPUT!
Definitely a test of my patience and a test of my determination to finish pictures that I start. But here it is. Probably the best piece of art I've put out to date.
Background is Hayao Miyazaki influenced. I love his work.

Mate, this one has come up an absolute treat. Love the movement in it, and the shading is frantastic, particularly on the arms and how you've picked up the semi-opaque nature of the dress. Totally worth the effort.
