Description Wakaba Shinohara of my favorite anime, Revolutionary Girl Utena, in her very own Rose Bride dress. If you've ever seen the series, you know the significance of Wakaba as the "Princess of the Onion Kingdom", and she doesn't look too amused at the reference.

I know Wakaba was never a Rose Bride, but I couldn't resist giving her her own costume.

ive never heard of revolutionary girl utena, but that picture makes me think of Shrek - it looks a bit like princess fiona, and how could anyone ever forget that "ogres are like onions"? ha, lol - my mad mind at work once again. dunno if anyone else made that link
anyway, i like your picture...

All I remembered is that the dress was yellow... so I went with green. I love Wakaba, she's one of my favorites from the show.

I like the onion thing myself, I can just imagine what she'd be saying! I originally had the dress in yellow, but that seemed more Nanami-ish, and green just suits Wakaba.

Thanks! I know, I've always loved this costume! In the anime, one of the main characters wears it in red, and a few other girls wear it in other colors. I love light green, so I made a green one.

lol, don't worry about it, only people who have seen the series would have any idea about what I'm going on about, it's pretty obscure. I just did this one for fun since I wasn't feeling well and wanted something to distract me while I was stuck inside all day. I have a strict "no-watercolors-while-feeling-whoozy" policy.

the idea's great, tho I'd never imagine Wakaba as the Rose Bride. Yeah she said her mum'd called her princess of the onion kingdom when Utena told her about her prince - that was hilarious ^^
you should've put some spring onions into her hair, too
