"Like for real dude!"This is just a quick doodle, nothing fancy. When I was but a wee little boy I used to think the original Like-likes were some kind of triple stacked pancakes smeared with strawberry jello. When they ate you I figured they were flattening you between their 'layers'.
Also I thought the waters and lava in dungeons were walls...I mean you need a ladder...you figured he would go UP with them not use it as a bridge right?

So anyway, I've always thought of the likelike as a drippy triple decker pizza and made me think of "pizza the hut" from spaceballs.

I saw that you mentionned that on your own artwork. I guess the thing that does it most is the colour sprites they used plus the fact that the layers move in such a weird chewing kinda way like it's a big mouth or something.

lol, I always thought they looked like coiled up snakes. Then again, the first Zelda game I played was Oracle of Ages, so the graphics were slightly more advanced than in the original games.
