As huge a fan as I am of Tim Burton's 2000 retelling of the Sleepy Hollow Legend, I still have a warm place in my heart for Washington Irving's little fable of the meek little schoolteacher who is tormented by a jealous rival...........and so to all of my DeviantArt friends and colleagues, I wish you a HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2007!!!!!!

This is awesome, I know you mentioned that this was inspired by the Tim Burton film and the story, but when I look at this, I think of the Disney version Ichabod which I also love, not to mention Brom Bones' song that scared Ichabod about our favorite headless murderer, and I know the whole song by heart! This pic rocks, love your use of color, gives it more of an eerish glow.

...thanks VERY much for the Fave...yes, this Washington Irving story has been a favorite of mine for years....I wanted to try something using a very limited palette, in this case cool colors---blues and violets...

I love all versions of this classic tale and no wonder that since (a)It's my favorite Halloween story, (b)I have a personality akin to Icabod's, except for the sort-of snobbish behavior (i.e. I am meek and knowledgeable, yet easily frightened).
