IT IS DONE!I have been working on this for months (though most of the work happened over the past week) - I wanted to make something that was just purely beautiful. You may read whatever you like into that and what it says about me...all I have to say is that of all the works in my collection, this is now my pride and joy.
That having been said, I do welcome comments, critical and otherwise. The medium is gouache (pronounced 'gwash') with a little bit of black acrylic to fix up splotches on the background. There was also some pen and pencil involved as sketchwork, but that's no longer apparent.

Yes, we did - We had pretty good weather for most of the week...the waves were pretty big, so that was fun. I don't think we'll be ending the tradition of the annual trip for the foreseeable future (now I'm looking forward to next year's

Ah thankyou! I love getting comments on this one.....*sigh* Wish I had the means to make a bigger print of this for my shop, but because it's a big one I had to photograph it instead of scanning, and my digital doesn't get quite so high-quality pictures as the scanner

I love it. It has an awesome feeling of motion, the tentacles seem to be squirming and writhing. And somewhow it still feels feminine, graceful. Do more like this!
