Birds were chirping when Hedda finally awoke. The sickness had wrecked itself upon her body and the results showed. In and out of her delirium healers had come and gone and so too had other pack wolves. Sam had been in and out often. In one turgid dream the stoic wolf Eryk had even appeared, wracked with grief. But that was no doubt just a dream.

Now though, at the constant care of healers, she had slowly gained back her health. Hedda's skin still hung from her bones but less so now and today, she knew she was well enough to venture out for the first time since she had entered this cave. It took more effort than she would like to admit, but she was finally up and out, just as the sun began to peek over the mountains.

Laur had been collecting herbs to tend to his patients. It had taken him a while to find the perfect selection, but it would be worth it in the end. The Curse of the Dawnguardian God had wrecked havoc on Heylguard and had tested his skills to their limits. Now, finally he was seeing the fruits of his labour as wolves that had been afflicted slowly rose and resumed their place in the pack. Another, a she-wolf rose and the Healer went about his tasks, safe in the knowledge he had saved another life.

This collab has been in the works forever (from back when Hedda was a part of Dawnguard/Heylguard and at the finish of the Curse) and because of me it has TAKEN forever. Thank you SO much to the absolutely lovely and patient nakaiii . They did the beautiful sketch, line and colour and I did the background, shading and final effects.
