Bane's isn't the strongest, the fastest, or the wisest of the Exiles. But he has a secret weapon, and it's his mind. Bane had an uncanny way of pulling apart every bit of information his brain digests and seeing more than most. He can see thing a lot of people won't notice. A hidden motive in someones comment. The way someone flinches to a word. Even their general body language. His mind is sharp as a knife like a detective. But where he truly excels is in strategy. Bane can access any situation, and delivery a computer-like analysis. Problem solving and solutions are his love.

GUARDIAN | PROTECTOR
It's most likely why so many trust Bane as a Guard. He is doting, dedicated, and gives everything to his herd. Never cruel or anxious, he's a rock for you to lean on.

LOYAL | CALMING
Behind his independent and hard exterior there is some warmth. He's loyal. To anyone he deems his friend. A lover, his leaders, his herd and his family. If you help Bane, he'll be there for you no matter what. He's a true knight in shinning armor - just not so charming. His protective, guard-like nature makes him calming to be with.

INDEPENDENT | LONE WOLF
Bane is a bit of a lone wolf and keeps to himself. He has a cool exterior but he's not at all antisocial; just too serious for his own good. He's friendly, but he won't exactly walk over for and start a gossip session with you.

It's a hidden side you will likely never see, but it's there all the same. The murders in his family, and his rocky life, have undoubtedly left their mark on this stallions soul.

All work and no play, Bane finds it hard to relax and enjoy himself. His life is his duty as a Guard, and he denies himself the simple pleasures of life, such as laughter or love.

FOAL

Bane wasn't always so serious. He was a foal, who liked play-fighting with his friends just like any other colt and watching the Warhead warriors of his Clan battle. But sadly, he lost his father Kale to a rogue stallion when he was only two. His mother was pregnant at the time, and some months later, his littler brother Kale junior was born. He became tough and proud, a man for his mother to rely on and a protector for his sibling. Kale was always lavished with attention. Their father had been much loved and admired as a guard, and everyone pitied Kale for never having met him. They pitied Bane too, but he didn't want any of it. He lost his youth to duty, and acted like a grown stallion.

When he finally came of age, he joined the herd guard. He put every waking moment into becoming stronger, faster, better. He rejected friends, playing only with his cousin Kiro and Leah - but his idea of "play" was more like battle training. He found them a distraction to his end goal. He pushed away mares, and became a machine. He soon gained a reputation for being one of the most dedicated individuals in the herd. However, through all his dedication, he became somewhat standoffish and antisocial, and no one bothered being friendly to him. He didn't mind, but secretly, it did hurt. He'd never tell anyone how much he missed his father.

The family was happy and content living in the Warhead Clan for many years.. Until the fires came.

TEENAGER

Separated when the first blaze swept across the lands some twenty years ago, Bane burnt his face badly saving his little brother. The younger stallion was caught in thick bushes and would have surely been trapped and died in the flames. But Bane managed to get his little brother free, though he paid a heavy price (blinded his left eye) and Kale too suffered burns.. They never saw their mother again, and assume she passed in the blaze..

But Bane didn't stop there. He went on to find and save other Clan members and bring them home. He was hailed a hero, and finally, he was given praise. But still... it was never enough. With the loss of his mother, he felt even more pressure to look after his little brother and make both their parents proud. The herd saw now he was a true guard, and gradually, Bane began to learn to be friendly. With the help of his friends Prophet, Storm, Roxanne, Rarsk, and Natalie, he become a warm protector that all loved.

ADULT
Sadly, the peace would not last. The Infected raided their territory and the Warheads had to make a plan.. The Warriors would defend the border, but a small party would loop behind and attempt anl assassination of the leaders. Bane, of course, went. It was a long journey, they required great amounts of strength, but Bane managed to make it with his strong group of companions. Here he befriended the Commander Rarsk especially.

However, it was during the second night in Infected territory that Bane would begin down a long, weary road. He patrolled the night, before eventually finding a mare just as dawn broke. It was a Solstice, dangerously roaming the land unprotected.. They spoke, and she told him she had important information for Cassius, Bane's leader. Bane made a judgement call, and abandoned his mission with the special party. Now he was guarding the mare, who was named Rose, and escorted her back to Cassius. The trek took two nights, and the pair spoke much. Bane found out he and Rose shared the same ideals and aspirations for the horses of ZONE-X. In the end... he found himself falling for the mare, and she too fell for him.

However, the romance was forbidden. Bane and Rose told no one of their feelings for one another, and when Bane arrived with her back at the Clan, he would unknowingly never see her again.

It was then that his friends told him of the tragic news... His brother, Kale, had been murdered by an Infected during his absense.

Bane fell into a blind rage, and ran from his herd in a flurry of emotions. He wanted to kill, to cry, to find answers. He wandered the Infected territory, alone, for a long time. How long, he does not know.. He fell into a deep depression. The days blurred into weeks, and Bane lost all sense of his purpose in the world.

Finally, the sadness waned, and rage took it's place. He wanted revenge for his dead brother, and sought out the kill the Infected Queen, Vixia. But he would instead find another mare - another solstice, who would bring him peace and wisdom. Her name was Arriana, and although their time together was short, Bane left to travel home knowing what he had to do.

He travelled far, but by the time he arrived home, everything changed. The end time began, and suddenly the world was thrown into chaos. Bane helped usher the horses of ZONE-X into the military base bunkers, and only once he felt everyone was safe did he join them. Project Rebirth destroyed the land of ZONE-X as they knew it.

And then, they waited, for six long months in the darkness.

ELYSIUM
Bane was alone in the world, many of his friends gone, taken by Infect, fire, or Project Rebirth. He helped lead his weakened, damaged, and forever changed comrades to the north. There they found ELYSIUM.

Bane travelled east to the green pastures of the farmlands and Slate City. He helped found the Dawnshield Clan, and proudly stood among it's guards.... But the damage is done. He had abandoned his Clan in their time of need, and the shame weighs heavy on his shoulders. He has a new leader - Captain Aladriel. He believes she will bring their Clan into a peaceful future. Now begins the long journey to earn back his herds trust, and prove to them he is worthy of their love once more.
