There's a tutorial for scanning A3 with A4 scanners. Not sure if it can help you. [link]

Must be pretty big give than it's oil pastel. It's either that or you are a master of using crumbs.

It's a strange size, The paper is a bit bigger than A3, but only just.

Thanks! I used oil pastels from caran d'ache, x2 firm colour shapers and a cocktail stick. I should probably get some softer pastels aswell, to help with detail but haven't invested as of yet.

That's why everything looks so smooth. Looks like I'll be needing to invest now too. Thank you for the reply back. =]

No problem. Colour shapers have transformed my work with pastels. They are great, so versatile. Shouldn't be too expensive, but do get a couple and have a play. Good luck and let me know how you get on.

wonderful expression, the tilt of the head and the one ear up and one ear down. Makes a lovely portrait, shows plenty of character. An instant fav'.

Thank you! He really does always have his head tilted and his one ear up / down. He also heards EVERYTHING, even gets upset when he sees owners and their dogs apart, he has the urge to heard them back together. He has such fab energy.
