I'm curious about the evidence for a throat bite in the fossil record? I know about the Triceratops decapitation study though.
Great drawing, and I like the feathers on the T.rex.
Speaking of, how do you feel about Saurian's new T. rex? I don't care for it as much as the old version to be honest.

Throat bites on Edmontosaurus are known from small predators attacking the much larger animal. the fossil of the individual that received the bite showed that the animal later died of its injuries. it isn't spoken of very often, but it is known, even if informally.
As for the T. rex from Saurian, i must say i rather like it a bit more than the original because it looks similar to what we might have seen in Yutyrannus. i'm not sure they would have been true feathers, but dense protofeathers sound about right. Β

Will the throat bite be followed up with a decapitation?Β

depends on what kind of prey T. rex is hunting.

Tyrannosaurus is amazing, as always.
