Jaguar warriors or jaguar knights, ocēlōtl or ocēlōmeh were members of the Aztec military elite. They were a type of Aztec warrior called a cuāuhocēlōtl. They were an elite military unit similar to the eagle warriors (VEGETATL www.deviantart.com/saiya6cit/a… ).
The jaguar motif was used due to the belief the jaguar represented Tezcatlipoca

Los guerreros jaguar o caballeros jaguar, ocēlōtl u ocēlōmeh eran miembros de la élite militar azteca. Eran un tipo de guerrero azteca llamado cuāuhocēlōtl. Eran una unidad militar de élite similar a los guerreros águila (VEGETATL www.deviantart.com/saiya6cit/a… ).
El motivo del jaguar se utilizó debido a la creencia de que el jaguar representaba a Tezcatlipoca.
