I hope that one day I'll find a life partner but honestly, I don't feel like I want any kind of 'contract' to make this commitment more serious. To me it feels less genuine... and Idc about status or money (independence is very important to me) anyway

I just feel like marriage in and of itself has been warped out of proportion over time and people/society have made out of it something that it isn't supposed to be, and that makes people dislike the idea more and more.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there aren't valid points to not getting married. I'm just sad that the original intention of marriage has been so distorted and dirtied that it's hardly even recognizable anymore.

Well, that do help.

But some do that due to the fantasy around the ceremony (you got to admit wedding dress are quite pretty... Even if very expensive).

Other due to traditions. (Apparently, that's a good reasons)

Other due to political arrangements (It is NOT a good reason ! Don't let yourself be chained up for the gain of others !)

And some does it as a token of their bond with each others. Like what some do with their friendship, except here, some old dude decided it must be done in a certain way, before an authority of sort (god for religious, the government for atheists... At least in my country). Which kinda falls into companionship I guess...


But honestly, I think most do it just for the statue... and that's depressing for a romantic like me...
