I've only ever had conflict about someone else having feelings for crush once and that was when I was in elementary school. My best friend and I were eating lunch together when we brought up a conversation about the boy we have a crush on. When we realized we were crushing on the same boy, we got into an argument about which of us should be his girlfriend. After some bickering, we decided to ask him which of us he liked better. When we confronted him on the matter, he told us that he didn't like either of us that way. My best friend and I simply fell silent with vacant stares on our faces. We went back to our table, sat down, and just stared for a moment before looking to each other and bursting out in laughter. We were both so silly to fight over a guy who didn't even like us back. That crush was defiantly not worth our friendship. Nearly 20 years later, we're still best friends and think of each other as sisters. She's still pretty boy crazy and I've since discovered that I'm asexual. Even though we're so different from each other, I'm so glad that she had I are still best friends to this day.

Congrats on hitting the 50th mark. That's awesome. It honestly feels like it's been so much longer. I'm glad I found your comics though. Helped me a lot when I didn't know any other Aces. I know a few now (don't think they know about this week either. >_<) but this comic strip series has always been a great comfort, and something to relate to. No matter what you do for your 50th strip, I'm sure it will be great.
(though if you're actually asking for suggestions, maybe something showing all the "regulars" in your comic doing something together? Or a "where are they now" for some character you no longer use.)

For some reason "Didn't you hear the click?" is cracking me up.
It took the longest time for me to realize that for most people, attraction is at least partly hormonal and therefore not rational - I kept asking, "Why don't you just not do that, then?" It sounds awful, honestly.

It's so funny, I didn't have any crushes except one of my closest friends all throughout elementary and high school. He made it clear to me that wasn't the way he saw me, and I was like "oh, okay." And we're still best friends and I'm still happy. I didn't think anything of it, really xD
