Best Friends
"You look ridiculous!"
Becky Carter and Cassandra Fair were strolling down the costume aisle at "Gags and Pranks Costume Store" looking for something suitable to wear to a costume party tonight.
The store was the best costume store in Manchester.
Any kind of costume for cosplay, parties, Halloween, and kid's costumes could be found here.
It was a friday afternoon, and this was one of several stores they wanted to go to.
Today was the anniversary of the passing of Becky's dad.
She was always moody on the anniversary.
A little irritable, even grouchy sometimes. She was also usually prone to a tear or two.
Becky missed him beyond words, and had a hard time saying how she felt about it.
So Cass had come up with a suggestion
"Let's go look for a costume to wear to the party tonight. Maybe we could do some shopping too. It would be good to get your mind off the Alfonsi case, anyway." Cass knew what was really bothering her, though.
